my pleco wont eat?

Question

my pleco is stuck to the side of my aquarium just like normal plecos should and stuff BUT it wont eat it's zuchini...why is this?? i tried lettuce and it wouldnt touch it either instead he heads right for my fake plastic decorations which is really anoying. What should i do???

They eat algae, so it's possible that your pleco just isn't hungry for zuccini. He's probably eating the algae from the plastic plants...and isn't confusing the plastic for real plants.

Algea wafers are their favorite! My pleco darts for the wafer as soon as it lands. Plecos are noctural by nature so try feeding him the wafer with the lights off for a while until he is used to his new diet. My pleco is 6 years old the size of my hand and eats about 2-3 wafers a day! Now he eats with the light on/off whenever. But if you own a pleco you need to have wafers.
Honestly I havent't even tried feeding my pleco zucchini, I wonder if he would like it. I know it's sort of a treat for them, but I don't believe it has everything they need for a sustaining diet.

Well, we should eat all of our vegetables, but we don't.... yes, they're good for the fishies, but that doesn't mean that all of them love all veggies. I've had some goldfish that love their veggies, and some who look at me like, "what is this crap?!" Have you tried algae wafers? Keep trying different things 'til you find something he likes...

not all fish accept fresh foods lol.. try algae wafers from walmart

not all Plecs like greens I gues... get algae wafers from your local pet-store, it'll surely eat that...
