The time line is the place to look. Put your object on a layer. If it's just simple motion, add a key frame somewhere on the time line, move the object there. Then on the frame property panel, select twee/motion. The time line will get an arrow across it indicating a ';tween' has been built, and the object will slide to the new position. Likewise if you rotate or resize the object, these factors will be tweened.

But a better way to work is to convert the object to a symbol, then go to time line effects and study your options for tranfformation and transition. This is more the heart of how Flash works. You'll start to understand action script if you work with symbols and not just graphics..

Flash takes some patience to learn, but it's worth it.

File -> import to libary, or if you already imported to stage click it and press f8, then select which option works best for you.

For an animated graphic, put a symbol on one starting frame (which you created in the last step) then go to an ending frame (where you want the thing to stop), click the starting frame then look under the frames properties....

should been something about tweening, select motion tweening.

The internet has a bunch of tutorials
