Did you see the notice in today's news about a group of Holocaust survivors who admitted on Friday that they hunted down and poisoned hundreds of their Nazi tormentors? I'm attaching CBS's version of the story below. When survivors didn't take revenge, it was for a variety of reasons: not wanting to sink to the Nazi's level, not having any spirit for that left in them, having survivors guilt, not wanting to remember for just a few. May God bless them.

Revenge against whom? Most of those responsible were dead or in prison. Now, every time a Nazi was found in hiding, say, in South America, they have been vocal in asking the world to bring them to justice.

Who says they didn't?? The real question is "who would the survivors of the Holocaust turn to to avenge?" Other than the truly evil members of the Nazi party (most of them committed suicide before their trials), most of the Nazi party was one big brainwash of people swept up in grandeur.
And why fight violence with violence? Most of those Nazis got their dues.

There were some who spent the rest of their lives chasing down war criminals. Simon Wiesenthal was one of the better known ones.

probably because it wasn't possible, im sure alot wanted revenge, but how would they do it? I'm just glad that I wasn't around for it. I'm sure people have tried to get revenge, but not successful

Because they saw what violnece does to people, and wanted to just end that horrible chapter of their lives.
