YES. I totally agree with you!
He is turning into a respectable talk show that actually helped people into a show with "scandals" (well you know what I mean)
I was thinking that a couple of days ago, when I saw an ad for a Dr. Phil with a cheating couple. At the beginning of Dr. Phil, he would have never had someone on the show like that.
And I agree with you that the Dr. Phil House is ridiulas!
I think he is trying to get better rating because his show is going down the tube.

He's changed that's for sure. His become pretty self-righteous.
And I'm so tired of these weight-loss programs that he has on. I mean, yes, maybe we all need to lose a few pounds...but he makes it seem like the majority of people are fat and obese.
Another answerer wrote that he has those 500 pound people on the show. I noticed that too. And I don't see how that helps the general public to eat healthier and to get in better shape.
The irony about these 500 pound people is that they ALWAYS seem to have a really attractive and perfectly normal and nice husband/wife or boyfriend/girlfriend. I mean, the few times I've seen a multi-hundred pound person on TV, that person was ALWAYS in a love/romantic relationship.
And what blows my mind is when they are in a NEW relationship. How does that work? How do they do it? How do they meet someone new???Now that would be a show. They could probably give dating advice on Dr. Phil... I mean if someone who weighs I don't know how much can meet someone new, then anyone can!!!

Who in there right mind would go on a show like that, Where you know the host is going to eat you up alive? I don't watch his show as he acts like he is perfect and everyone else is not. I admit I watched when it first came out. But then he got too big for his britches. He is probably doing what ever his producers say. So to answer the question I would have to say YES he is trying to get better ratings.

You are comepletly right. It's liek he's doing everything purely for ratings and a fake happy last episode or soemthing. It's really pathetic. I've sworn off watching that show since he called one of his "patients" a "coke whore" on national television with absolutely no remorse whatsoever.

Yes! He's an overrated phony. Now he has 500 lb. people who have to be airlifted out of their houses for ratings! What a lowlife he is.
