Has anyone ever tried the supplement focus factor? Did it have any positive effects on you? I'm struggling in college, and I hear lots of commercials for this supplement. It claims to support memory, concentration, and focus.

I just looked at their website and I'M SHOCKED at the price. Something like $86 per bottle, plus $10 for shipping! That's craziness. No wonder they can afford to advertise on nat'l TV and give you a bottle for $4.95.

Okay, the ingredients look pretty good. But you can get Bacopa extract at your health food store for about $18 for a one-month supply. Or Planetary Formulas makes one called Bacopa-Ginkgo "Brain Strength" for about that price. Or NOW Foods makes one called "Brain Elevate."

I have a friend who's in college and she is taking just plain Bacopa. She said it has made a world of difference in her ability to stay concentrated. Her professors are so impressed that they are recommending it to other students, calling it her "brain pill."

I personally take Bacopa with Ginkgo (I'm 52 and think I need the extra memory boost.) I can really tell the difference when I neglect to take it.

If anxiety is a problem, you might also try adding L-Theanine as it helps you relax without making you drowsy. I believe the NOW product has L-Glutamine in it for that purpose - it's a precursor to Theanine.

I work in a natural foods store.

My mom ordered the Focus Factor and was set up on auto-ship, she gave me a bottle and I tried it, also compared the ingredients against the ingredients of the other multi-vitamin I had been taking. No big differences, just in the cost. My mom was paying over $75 a month, mine cost about $7, picked up at Target. I used the whole bottle of Focus Factor, I didn't notice anything different.
If you get Focus Factor, you'll have one more struggle, one more headache, paying $80 a month!
