Actually, for a 55 this setup will work fine. Pearl gouramis are pretty small gouramies, rarely being over 4 inches. The redtail could grow quite large in that tank, but if you start him small he'll be fine. They are territorial, but there aren't any other fish the tank who will compete with him. Give him a couple caves.

Cherry barbs are not the fin nippers tigers are, and they don't get nearly as big. They're fine. The danios will swim endlessly at the top of the tank, they're fine. The Kuhlis, you won't see them again once you put them in tank that large. They are masters at hiding.

Now, 5 female bettas is alot, and chances are they are going to quarrel amongst themselves. I would recommend maybe 1 male betta, much better looking, and some neon rosy barbs or a few clown loaches. That would keep with your south-east asia motif.

Good luch

No barbs with the bettas. You'll end up with a lot of chewed fins. Also, no shark. That's too small of a tank for it, and they're very territorial. You could do the gourami's, danios, and bettas, and also you could add the kuhlis, but keep them in groups of 3 or more, and get all one kind, if you want them to be very active.

no longer positive why the fish would act like that except ammonia poisoning. As for installation the different tank, us as a lot water and gravel from the ten gallon as you could. also, use both filters (the only from the ten gallon and the only for the 55 gallon) for about a month. save an eye fixed on ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate degrees and carry out water transformations as mandatory for no less than 2 months-

That is definety WAY TOO SMALL for all of those fish. Even for the shark you need at least 65 gallons
