I am because I could not get health insurance of any kind as a child bearing female. When I tried to get it alone they wanted to give me a 2000 dollar deductible and have me pay 80 dollars twenty years ago. One major company I worked for took my health insurance payments but never start it up until I left the company so they would not have to give the payments back. Another continued to promise to start the program for me and let me make payments but after a long time I never got it so I left that low paying job I took because of health benefits they said I would get when I first got the job asap. I am now disabled and cannot afford to go back to work even if I get well enough to go back to work because I cannot afford medical care if I go back to work as I need it more since I got sick and injured in the military who did not give me disability. If welfare recipients who never work and have multiple felonies can have it then why not the voting population?

I am definitely not. I am sorry to hear about your issues and if I were you I might consider legal action against those companies.
The problem with our health care system is not a result of LACK of government action but BECAUSE of government action. There are three major reasons in my book, if you will permit me. First, we live in a liturgical society whereby anyone can sue for any reason. This means that people will sue hospitals and doctors for large sums of money even though the amount is absurd. This results in insurance companies raising their rates to cover claims.
Second, the adverse affects of the massive illegal immigrant population is causing both our taxes and the burdern our government puts on the insurance companies in order to cover those who do not pay taxes.
Thirdly, how do you think your problems will change if we change the entire health-care system to that of the military? I have been a part of military health services so I understand your frustration.

No. Maybe you should do some studying of Canada's "free" Socialized Medicine. Taxes go up to support it and guess what? There are the same number of General Practicioners and Specialists. Getting an appointment with a specialist can take 8 weeks. Is this what you want for US citizens -- not me Ma'am.....

Yes, I support some type of medical aid to the working poor & just plain poor! I do believe that the ones who can afford to pay for medical care should pay.
Many companies are cutting back on health care insurance or getting rid of it altogether. A lot of those people work for smaller wages that prohibit them from getting health care insurance on their own. They & their families should receive health care, they deserve a healthy life style the same as those who do have insurance coverage. Everyone in this country should have access to health care; regardless of age, race or money.

You can't pay your firm for health care and not get it. You must bring them to court. Do you realize that the healthcare system is already composed of 75% of the dollars in the system are spent by the US government? You want them to take over the last 25%? Too bad no one knows this is the truth, for this is exactly the reason why it costs so much.

NO!
It's not the governments responsibility!
DO SOMETHING FOR YOURSELF!
If all what you say is true then you need to maybe take a legal road instead of a hand out one.
