All the casket-like things called ossuaries are empty. I wonder what the archeologists were thinking when they found an ossuary with Jesus’s name on it. I can imagine the moment they removed the lid and looked in. If it were me, I’d wonder if I was going to see one of the following:
1. Nothing
2. Decomposed stuff
3. Jesus sitting up and saying, “What in Dad’s name took you so long?”
If you put an ordinary guy in an ossuary for 2,000 years, he’d clearly be dead. But if I were opening that ossuary I’d be wondering if maybe someone put Jesus in there after he died but before he arose. And maybe it’s hard to get out once you get in. I’d be worried that Jesus arose inside the stone box, and he’d be totally pissed that no one let him out until now.
I realize that this would not be the most rational worry in the world. But I like to base my worries on an expected value calculation. So for example, a 90% chance of getting a sliver would worry me about the same as a .000001% chance of a nuclear bomb going off in the backyard. In this ossuary example, I’d be looking at maybe a 2% chance of waking up an angry Jesus. I say that’s worth a worry.
If Jesus was in there, and sat up when I took the lid off, I’d first try to judge how angry he looked. If he had that money-changers-in-the-temple look, I’d go with a joke, like “Ha ha! Turn the other cheek!” Or maybe I’d try to explain to him that the extra suffering was extra good for humanity, and after all, that’s his job. Then I’d say, “Hey, I don’t like my job either, but you don’t see me complaining all the time.”
I know that some of you will say that if Jesus could move that big rock that was allegedly in front of his tomb in the traditional telling of his life, he’d have no trouble removing an ossuary lid. But he wasn’t supposed to be in an ossuary in the first place, so obviously if this ossuary is genuine, some of the details of the story were wrong. And if God let Jesus be crucified, it’s not a huge stretch of the imagination to think he’d let him stay in a stone box for 2,000 years. It makes sense to save your coolest miracle for when it’s needed most. And I think you’ll agree that this would be a good time for a messiah. And if you were God, you’d want James Cameron attached to this production. So it makes sense to me.
That’s why I’d be a crappy archeologist. I’d be afraid to open anything.

How can you find the tomb of a man that wasn't there? Plus it wasn't his families tomb it was that of Simon of Armathea. Plus how do they know they don't have DNA on Jesus. And Jesus was God. Read John 1:1. He didn't find it sorry.

I have to laugh at the so-called Christians. When PROOF is presented to them that their savior Jesus DID live on Earth, and the proof also shows that he was resurrected after death, what do they do? Did they rejoice and dance in the streets? No! They denied his very existance, cursed the people that found his tomb and calls on the Vatican and the "Holy Father" the "Pope" to set things straight - all of which is an oxymoron.
As listed in Revelations, at these end of times, the current false religion of Christianity will be shown the absolute TRUTH of everything, and the Vatican shall be destroyed for the false organizaiton it is, and the core of Christianity shall also crumble as the tool of Satan that it is.
The current so-called "Christian" church does not follow not even one of Jesus's teachings, and only serves as a breeding ground for hate, fear and pedophiles. It has strayed so far from Jesus's teachings that it is only a Cult of misguided people at this point.
Now that Jesus is ready to return, he wants to make sure that people know he is on the way back, and that when he returns, there is going to be HELL to pay for one and all for not only abandoning his teachings and his sacrifice, but also for denying him and his existance.

As much as I would like to think that he did, I doubt it. I myself think that Jesus never existed, but if this is the tomb it would certainly give second thought to those who take a literal interpretaion of the Bible.

"Jesus wasn't God"? IF you read the Christian Bible, you'll find that he is attributed with having been "Son of God" and was, in fact, a prophet... but... "God"? I think you have your myths a bit confused.
And WHAT if they did indeed find his remains... so? It would mean that those that compiled the books to make up the Bible, around 315 AD as ordered by Emperor Constantine, simply left out many pertinent information and books as they scrambled to negotiate and compromise to assure themselves a cornerstone of power, often re-writing books to suit personal agendas... as happens in ALL religions and governments; that they've acted as common everyday demagogues, manipulating and distorting the truth for their own personal agendas, as politicians and religious leaders throughout the world have done throughout history and will continue to do as long as there are those gullible enough to follow and allow them to do so.
Prior to that, one elected himself as the First Bishop of Israel (James, Jesus' brother) and the other went off and elected himself as the first Bishop of Rome, considered the "first Pope" (St. Peter). What would Jesus have said about that, I wonder!
IF those prove to be His remains (I have no idea how they are going to go about this), it will merely prove his existence, of his being a great prophet, an enlightened man ahead of his times. Insofar as the myths created after his death (walking on water, for example), well, that's a totally different debate. Much can be said about that but... that's another debate.
Jesus founded no religion or new church. Jesus was born, raised, educated and died as a Jew. He would have been totally appalled by those who established themselves in positions of power! WHAT fancy church did he preach from? What particular dogmas did he establish other than love, forgiveness, tolerance, peace...? I'm almost laughing if not for the atrocities that were committed, the wholesale slaughter, torture, burnings, plundering and looting, lying and deceiving, the demagoguery... all in the name of a man who preached and taught love, forgiveness, tolerance, peace...
IT would legitimize what some have been saying all along, that present-day churches are responsible for hiding and distorting much of the truth throughout history in order to maintain control over the masses that contribute to their coffers, and keep them living in grand style and luxury.
There are those who are born to lead but most are born to follow and in some circles they're called lemmings and sheep... because they refuse to reason and think for themselves... they let others think for them in spite of the obvious.

He had to find it, else he would lose his backing and his plot for a money making movie. Truth is irrelevant in such matters.
