Ok I am 13 weeks pregnant and had my sonagram today, the baby looks really big. Do they blow the picture up so the baby looks bigger? It has been 5 years since my last sonogram and I didn't have one this early. I have read that the baby is only supposed to be the size of a peach. Anyone have any input? Thanks

If I could figure out how to put it on here so you can see for yourself I would but I don't know alot about that stuff. I had an outside sonogram on my belly.

yes ....we do have the ability to enlarge the image , and it's not that uncommon for us to do so in order for Mommies and Daddies to get better pictures .

Sometimes this does make the baby look large on the screen ...other times , the patientt is a bit further along than they thought ....however if you're regular , and pretty sure of your LMP , then that's probbaly not the case .

Congrats hun !

Yea, the sonogram looks bigger than the actual baby is. If they didnt say anything about it being an overly large baby, i wouldnt worry. I am 29 weeks now, and cant see the entire baby in one pic. I now see him in blocks of pics as he is too big to see as one picture now.
Dont worry unless they say something about it.
Good luck and Congrats hun!!!!

as i recall from my pregnancies, the baby is supposed to be about 2 1/2 inches at 11 weeks. i have no idea WHY i remember that, but i do. i would think it depends on their particular sonogram machine if it is blown up or not.

Did they do in inner unltrasound or one from the outside on your belly. I had one done inside at 12 weeks and the baby looked big but she was only the size of an egg at that stage lol.

yes it seems larger, when focused on the image, so the image may look smaller or larger. depending on type of ultrasound equipment. Its not actual unless its stated so by the doctor... but nothing is ever really as it seems..

I suggest you upload it to a site like photobucket.com, and then give us a link as an additional detail. People will know. Good luck!!
