Public have an option to cast no vote under rule 49o
49O. Elector deciding not to vote.– If an elector, after his electoral roll number has been duly entered in the register of voters in Form-17A and has put his signature or thumb impression thereon as required under sub-rule (1) of rule 49L, decides not to record his vote, a remark to this effect shall be made against the said entry in Form-17A by the Presiding Officer and the signature or thumb
impression of the elector shall be obtained against such remark.

If you fell that none of the candidate fit for the position then you can give NO VOTE.

When Vote is calculated. IF no of NO VOTE is greater than No of Votes of any candidates then there will be re-election and those candidates who are previously participating can not participate again.


NO VOTE is not a solution. If every one always gives no vote no body will be selected. The solution is good people (normal people) like us should also participate in politics. Every one says bad thing about politicians but how many of them are ready to participate in politics?

This is the best rule to taught lessons to all corrupt political leaders

___i personally feel that there should be at least 80-85 % voting otherwise the election should be called void and we should vote only if we believe in someone
