Actually it is time we all do both. You see, we should first humble ourselves and repent, so we can get a fresh start. Let's face it, humanity has had its major pitfalls, and these day it is all around. Instead of Darwin's theory of evolution, we are de-evolving back into beasts. It is the ability to think and reason that makes man above other creatures, and unfortunatly that abilty is one that many people don't use.
Once we realize the flaw of our ways, and open our eyes, only then will we realize what we were truly meant to be. Then, and only then will we be able to take ourselves to that super human state that we were meant to acheive, but to do that we must purge all that which holds us down.

i think once we humble ourselves and realize our weaknesses, we'll achieve a contentment and peacefulness we'll never achieve by striving for a super-human state.
