I just got a Rosy Barb and a Black Ruby Barb... The Black Ruby Barb is just hanging out at the bottom, and this morning it didn't go up to get food. My Rosy Barb is crazy! It's swimming back and forth like a madman. I just wanted to know what's up with the fish. Thanks

Barbs are schooling fish and should be kept in groups of 5 or more. Besides being stressed by being moved to a new environment, they are both stressed by not having others of their kind around - they're just dealing with the stress in different ways (hiding and racing around).

If you have a large enough tank, I'd suggest getting them a few "friends".

Barbs like to be in groups of 5-6... Maybe they are depressed.

they probably have ich (white spot). Those sound like the common symptoms and ich is a very common disease in tropical fish tanks. You should look up some info on it and if they do have it start treating it right away because ich can be deadly..even though i've heard that some of the treatments can be deadly too. Anyway read up. info shouldn't be hard to find.
