A supply chain, logistics network, or supply network is a coordinated system of organizations, people, activities, information and resources involved in moving a product or service in physical or virtual manner from supplier to customer. Supply chain activities (aka value chains or life cycle processes) transform raw materials and components into a finished product that is delivered to the end customer. Supply chains link value chains.
There are a variety of supply chain models, which address both the upstream and downstream sides.

The primary objective of supply chain management is to fulfill customer demands through the most efficient use of resources, including distribution capacity, inventory and labor. Various aspects of optimizing the supply chain include liasising with suppliers to eliminate bottlenecks; implementing JIT techniques to optimize manufacturing flow; and using location/allocation, vehicle routing analysis, Dynamic programming and, of course, traditional logistics optimization to maximise the efficiency of the distribution side.
The SCOR (Supply Chain Operations Reference) model, developed by the Supply Chain Council measures total supply chain performance. It is a process reference model for supply-chain management, spanning from the supplier's supplier to the customer's customer. It includes delivery and order fulfillment performance, production flexibility, warranty and returns processing costs, inventory and asset turns, and other factors in evaluating the overall effective performance of a supply chain.

Several companies choose to outsource their supply chain management by partnering with a 3PL, Third-party logistics provider.

You're buying too much. Only buy what you need when you need it. Why do you need a Sleazy? Will you be showing? Why do you need a 300g winter turnout blanket? Is snow still on the ground in your area? Most horses do fine without a sleazy under their blankets. Why do you need a bit and a hackamore? You can only use one at a time on your horse. Does your horse have thrush? If not, you don't need a thrush medication. If he does, then I would recommend No Thrush powder treatment. It's far more effective. Why do you need polo wraps and splint boots? Why do you need either? Why do you need bell boots? You only need boots or wraps if your horse does hard enough work that he may knock his legs together or he travels in a way that he can injure himself (overreaches). Why do you need a rope halter and a nylon halter? Why do you need a mane & tail comb and brush? Why do you need a hoof protector and a hoof boot? You have a lot of unnecessary or redundant items on your list. You need to talk to your trainer and ask her what you need right now and what you will need in the next year.

A supply chain lead manages a set of activities and/or a set of folks that manage a set of activities. These activities are usually focused on entities (customer, suppliers), products (supply, demand), location (easter region...), and/or channels (resellers, OEMs...).
