Alex Gordon will be the opening day third baseman for the Royals.
In 2 years(2009) he will be the best all around 3B in baseball.

They don't know yet. The front office really wants him on the Major League team, but he may start the season in AAA. They have moved Mark Teahan out to right field in spring training to make room for Gordon, and he was assigned #7. Both of those are good signs that he is going to make a strong showing to start the season as a Kansas City Royal.
GO ROYALS!!!!!

Alex Gordon is currently a non-roster invitee for the Royals. Teahen and German seems to be on the top of the depth chart at 3B. That doesn't mean he won't be a midseason callup, but he doesn't seem likely to be on the opening day roster.
Regardless, the Royals are a rebuilding team, and it is best not to rush young talent. Gordon will have his day, just give him time.
