For the next play, My character is dutch, so they want me to audition in a dutch accent...I can do French, British, Irish, Spanish... but dutch? Until recently i didn't even know where their country was...

I am Dutch, but don't have a Dutch accent when I speak English.... Hmmmm..... I would recommend finding any audio interviews with the Dutch film director Paul Verhoeven (who made Showgirls and Black Book), who has a very rich Dutch accent. Otherwise, just do what Brad Pitt did in Seven Years In Tibet and make something up that sounds half-plausible. :)

It's the accent of people of Holland or the Netherlands. I've always thought their accent sounded a little like German.
