Good for you homeboy. I know lots of people who make loads of cash telemarketing. Plus being rude to a telemarketer is not very bright. They know your name, address and phone number. When you act rude, your name gets sold to every room in the city, plus you get phone calls at 4 in the morning. So be rude to telemarketers at your own risk LOL
Just for the record, the no call list has no effect on non-profit groups or charities. The no call list is only for sales, like time shares, interviews, and that type of call. Charities can call all day and not violate the no-call list because it doesn't pertain to them.

you'll find little sypmathy among the general public becuase of he intrusiveness of the calls, usally at dinner time, and they fact that the telemarketers are rude themselve, they do not take no for an answer, so it rightful that some people will be rude back,
it's has gotten to the point that you need an unlisted number, called ID and caller Intercept just to have any peace an quite from unwarranted, unwanted and unwelcomes calls. even with the do not call registry not all telemarketers respect that list.
your industry has about as much respect as spammers, you both basically do the same thing, except you're vocal

Hey, thanks for venting and I am really glad your able to maintain a job. Now on a serious note- I really do not like or dislike telemarketers. What I hate is they always call at dinner time when I'm the busiest. I understand there may be a time difference BUT its always the same time. I try not to be rude but honestly can you blame some of us? Its no a money issue its how your trained to not take no for an answer- so if I was rude - sorry- but I have a family ot attend to.

Sorry sweetie, some people just don't get it. You are making a living, and probably a better one than most the people you speak to. Let's face it, everyones job inconveniences someone else. Yours just happens to be the most noticeable.
Keep your head up, and remember some of those people just have bad days and it's easier to take it out on a faceless individual than people they love. This is why you make 3-4x's minimum wage.

I would love to say I don't think you are the problem, but I have found over time that a lot of people who use yahoo answers tend to group people and attack that whole type of person. So sorry for you, and I commend you, As I would love to find a way to make money (I am myself) disabled, but I couldn't handle all the insults and put downs they get, I have been guilty myself of being annoyed as they seem to call at the most inopportune time, but I am not out and out insulting. I wish you luck.

People are rude to me at my job, too. It happens everywhere, no matter what your line of work. I work at an arts college trying to help graduates get full-time jobs after they graduate. Typically half of them don't even bother to thank me for the help and only contact me to scream about not receiving their degrees yet. And yes, I have been rude to telemarketers who won't take "no" for an answer. Try not to take it so personally.

Because you are trying to sell me something i don't want. Thank goodness for the KY no Call List. Now i don't have to hang up or be rude or try to find a polite way to tell a telemarketer he/she is annoying me

Don't take it personally. (Trust me, I know this from experience; I don't take MY job personally, if it helps.) Just keep in mind that 99% of all humans are ***holes, and let it slide off you.
