I found the address and phone number for a former boyfriend I had in the military. He got out before I did and seemed to drop off the face of the earth without any explanation or warning! We always had a good relationship and I'm still boggled about why I hadn't heard from him. It's been quite a few years, but I'd really like to call and say hello, but don't know if I should. Any suggestions?

This is the only man I ever fell in love with...we had a very close connection with each other and hurt terribly when I didn't hear from him. (We never "broke up"). So a part of me wants to know how he is, the other part needs closure as to why we're not together anymore, but I'm so nervous about taking that first step and calling!

ABSOLUTELY, you never know, maybe it is meant to be. Just take a deep breath and call, and tell him that you were amazed to find his info and are dying to catch up...always a good icebreaker, and you never know, maybe he has been thinking of you too!! Good luck, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!!!! =)

Nothing ventured , Nothing gained. He will probably be glad to hear from you. Don't expect to much , maybe he was thinking of you if you had a good relationship. Don't be surprised a female answers the phone. You'll know right away if he wants to talk to you by his voice , or maybe he might feel uncomfortable cause somebody is listening. GO FOR IT. Lots of LUCK.

Sure, maybe he's been wondering about you, but lost contact info. Either that or he just didn't want to talk to you anymore. Only way to find out is to call.

Nothing wrong with calling to say hello. Saying hello is pretty innocent, and he may even appreciate it. If he acts funny, then just don't call him back again. Easy as that.

Go for it!
Why not?
Sure!
Si.
Sure.
What have you got to lose?
Yeah, you should totally try to contact him.
These are some of the many ways I could say my simple answer: Yes.

do you thikn that you will feel better if you did? are you thinking about him because you miss him as a friend ?i really dont think there would be any harm in it , if youre just calling to reconnect as friends or find out how he is, just remember you are not part of his life anymore and dont expect him to welcome you back,do it if itll make YOU feel better.
