Can someone with scoliosis & siatica get disablity? I was diagonsed last year with both and about once a month it flares up so bad I can't walk, sit, or stand for any length of time. I've been fired, not hired, and quit many jobs because my body won't function reguarly. Is there anyone else on disablity for scoliosis or siatica?

i have sciatica and i receive a disablity pension for it. my flair ups are more regular tho. i know the pain you have to put up with, as it causes me to not to be able to sit comfortably, or walk or stand for long. there was a period of about a year where i relied on a walking stick. have a chat with your doctor and see what he thinks

It's not diseabased. It's really a question for your doctor as he/she'll need to document the actual functional impairment. You don't just get disability because you have certain condition. The effects of the condition is what disability is based on.

Sometimes the government is beserk when screening applications for disability. Always fight that... Do consult your doctor and file a disability claim and use a disability lawer if denied. Take care

the government doesnt give a crap about back problems. they say "get a sit down job, or work from home". my uncle has been fighting for disability for years, and his back is bad to the point that he can hardly walk.
