I was watching the end of the Miami-Cleveland game yesterday and noticed that the Cavs players were wearing the orange uniforms with the old school 80s Cavs logo on the jerseys. Was there a reason for this? They mentioned the uniforms on the local news but never said why.

Teams will traditionally where "throwback" jerseys. In this could be for no reason at all, or to honor a player, game, or a good year/era of basketball.

they wear those jerseys to remember the golden era of the cavs when they went deep into the playoffs. its just to remember a good time in cavalier history.

Teams tend to do that a couple of times per season -- my guess would be an attempt to maybe sell some more jerseys.

They wore them to promote sales of their throwback jerseys, which are available for fans to purchase. Throwback uniforms are very popular in the rap & hip hop world.......
