There are SO many good ones to choose from! Just one that comes to mind right now - there's a B-movie from several years back called "Cat People" (1984) It had Nastassia Kinski, Malcolm McDowell, John Herd, etc. in it. David Bowie did the eerie theme song. I just remember that it gave me "the willies!"
Check it out, if you get a chance. It's pretty weird, and totally unrealistic (but then aren't they all!?) but the story is a real "erotic fantasy." (by the way, there's also an earlier, original version - like from the 50's -- although the one I saw was the 1984 version - it was the best!)

Also :
I prefer some older scary movies that leave more to the imagination and are suspenseful --one favorite is
The Haunting--made in 1963 starring Julie Harris and Claire Bloom.

A real old one when I was a little kid:
Forbidden Planet
It's nothing now, but back then the cinematography and special affects were amazing. The first time they fought the monster from the ID scared the pants off me.
It's also the movie that piqued my interest in science. I wanted the knowledge of the Krell.
I highly recommend it.

Children of the Corn, I watched it at a friends house when we were 13, I had to walk home at dusk surrounded by cows on one side of the road, corn fields on the other, a breeze made the corn stalks sway, I was convinced it was "he who walks behind the rows" ran the rest of the way home, and to this day (2 decades later) I can only do corn mazes in the daytime.
