i have a steel roof on my house and everyone in my family has poor reception inside. is there like a signal booster or something that we can buy to help us out? we all use t-mobile if that helps. thanks!

I think the thing to do is to change services. Not that there is anything wrong with T-Mobile, they just don't have a strong enough signal in your area. Get some friends with other services to come over and try their phone at your house, then decide if another service is better. It's bad if you can't use your phone at home.

Ask around/search the net and try to obtain two antennas designed for the cell-phone band.

Mount one outside your house, as high as reasonably possible.
Run a cable from it to the other antenna mounted inside the house.

An antenna is bi-directional (it will receive or transmit equally well.)

Whatever the outside antenna receives will be re-radiated in the house and vice versa.
