Thermal ablation or a hysterectomy will both do the same thing; but they are only used when medically necessary, not for birth control or the convenience of not having a period. You didn't say how old you are, but I didn't want children when I was in my twenties, but when I turned thirty I made the decision to have a child. Things change with time, and don't make a permanent decision you might later regret.

Hysterectomy...
It means taking out the entire uterus, with or without removing the ovaries. In the old days, surgeons couldn't safely take out the entire uterus, so they would leave the cervix. This is called a subtotal hysterectomy.
Radical hysterectomy...
Recently there has been renewed interest in leaving the cervix. A special type of hysterectomy, called a radical hysterectomy

It's called a hysterectomy. They remove the uterus, and tada, no more pregnancies, no more periods!!! So, 10 points?

Are you talking about a hysterectomy? Can't really have a period or have a baby if you have no uterus.
