to be honest why do people focus on the fact thats she is a lesbian. cant we focus on the fact that she did a great job hosting the oscars????
i dont doubt that a gay man could do it. i guess the chances would be the same. because i see ellen as a normal person.

Ellen hosted because she is an excellent entertainer. Had nothing to do with her sexual orientation.
I am sure there has been a Gay man host the academy awards at sometime in the 79 years of them. It's Hollywood folks!

Billy Crystal does a great impersonation of a gay man just by being himself. Ditto Robin Williams.
Why should a gay man host the Oscars? Just because he's gay? Let's get Rupert Everett to host the Oscars because he loves to take it up the rear, shall we!
I want a FUNNY, COMPETENT PERSON hosting the Oscars - if he is gay, well, that'll just be co-incidental.

Ellen did a great job ,her sexually has nothing to do with the great job she did ,so why would the sexually of a man matter ,if he can do the job .No one ever said Now that Billy Crystal ,has led the way ,for hetero sexual man.She did a great job ,no if and or buts.She did a great job because she is a good comedian.

Why not--I didn't watch the Oscars this year and will not ever watch them again--because of her!!It's sad the Academy had to ruin the glamor of the Oscars with something like her!!
