Prince Fielder, was a rookie last year, should have a breakthrough year this year, then Milwaukee won't be able to afford him
then he'll fill the void in the Yankees for 1st Base
either him or Miguel Cabrera from the Marlins who can either take over for Arod if the Yankees get rid of him or put him in Left Field

as i recall since the wild card became part of the playoffs the Yankees have never been one, winning their division every year. What other team can make that claim?
as for the red sox, they need to worry about trying to reclaim 2nd place, loved seeing the Bluejays beat them out for 2nd last season.

Johan Santana- he's not on the market until after 2008 but with the numbers he's putting up, barring injury all the big team will try to sign him.

They'll sign Manny and Ortiz, Soriano and anyone else who blows up. Problem is though, that they won't choke this year. Its boston who you need to worry about. I don't think they'll sniff 2nd place.
To the bosox, the jays and the weak orioles, have fun battling for 2nd because the top spot already been reserved!!!

i love this question, i wouldnt be surprised to see vlad guerrero in a yankee uniform, but i also believe he is worth every dollar, i also wouldnt be surprised if they go out and get a pitcher at the trading deadline, someone on a poor team like jake peavy or ben sheets
