In general, dvd movies are released on Tuesday, movies in the theaters on Friday... do video games have a special release day? I'm asking cause I have a video game that's coming out in March that I want to buy and one website said it's coming out on the 6th and another says the 8th... one is a Tuesday and one is a Thursday... trying to figure out what day it really comes out.

In general games are not as organized as good as movies for their release I have seen games come out on Monday to Sunday
However, Most of the time I notest it is a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday they are released
Looking at the date given by some places it is a date a head when stores put the stock out so if it says 6th it should be out on the 7th.

You can usually call your local Blockbuster and they can answer this for you but when I worked there it was normally released on a Tuesday- but on some special releases they are released on both Tuesday and Thursday. Depending on your location, But I would suggest calling your local Blockbuster. Good Luck!

It depends. It can be either a tuesday or a thursday. A console game (ps2, xbox, ect.) is usually a tuesday. Computer games are usually a thursday. They can sometimes be tuesday or thursday. Check the game's official site, it has the real date.

It depends on how big the gamemakers think the game is going to be. Usually around the holidays or sometimes as soon as they can get it on the market to the public.
