I just wanted to know what kind of dances there are , like old school dances between the 50's and 80's between those years.

I remember the " Jitterbug ", the twist, the bossanova, the mash potatoes, there were so many, its just too hard to remember them all. I am mainly from the 50's and sixty's. Those were my days. But I remember the disco era as well. I do not care much for what goes on now though. That's just my opinion. !

Yes. Probably the most popular street dance of the 70's was LOCKING. It was and still is a fantastic dance to do and every street dancer should at least know some of the moves.Watch the movies BREAKIN' and BREAKIN' 2 and you will see this dance performed by the character called OZONE who in real life helped perfect the dance.Just like Poppin', Robotin' and Breakdancin' it has to be done correctly to look good.
