Maybe i'm not far enuf along in the series (episode 60), but does it ever explain why kakashi is always late for everything? Is there a legitimate/comical reason or is he just lazy?

Cause before he goes places he visits his friend Obito, who is dead, at that memorial of the KIA.

oh this is because kakashi will go to the konoha hero memorial every day in the early of the morning and spent his time talking to one of his "friend"{dead friend}(his group member friend)

he is always late because before he does anything he always visits his friends grave - obito - who saved his life. Obito is also the person who gave kakashi his sharingan.

I think Kakashi is always late because he is a pervert. He needs to stop every minute or so and read those sexy makeout books(forgot what their called).
