She is constantly snubbing me and I can tell just by the way she acts around me that she thinks she is too good to talk to me. I've tried not to let this bother me but I can't figure out what it is about me that she doesn't like. She has acted this way towards me since day one but to my co-workers she acts so sweet and friendly. My other friends at work don't notice that she is so stuck up, so I am starting to feel isolated on this. I've tried my hardest to talk with her and get to know her but she acts bored around me and and talks to me in a very rude tone. She only seems to want to associate herself with the "right" kind of people at work and apparently I'm not one of them. I would love to just ignore her but we work in small office so that is difficult. She has made a couple of snide comments about me before and it's getting to the point where I want to confront her but I'm afraid this will make the situation worse-almost give her a reason to hate me.
What should I do?

Kill her with kindness no matter what she say or do be pleasant with your demeanor.Sounds like she is jealous of you.

I wouldn't allow her to get to me. She doesn't pay any of your bills & you only work together it doesn't mean you have to be friends outside of work. Don't allow her or anyone else affect your work & money.
Be nice while you are there & just avoid contact with her. If it gets too bad maybe say something to her but I doubt this will do anything except cause her to talk about you more. In most small offices they have cliques so it sucks when you aren't in with the "right" clique.

sounds like we work in the same place. This girl did me the same way. We are nurses and we deal with alot of people everyday. She would talk mean or down to me in front of the patients, stupidly not realizing it was making her look terrible in front of our patients.I treat all our patients like royality because I feel like they deserve it. They seem to really like me and would ask me why did I take it from her, I told them Oh! don't worry her day is coming. Believe me it did, one of the patients told our head Physician about it and he said something to her, she still decided to try it again one day when he had left the office. That day I had , had it with her and I nicely preceeded to attend the patient to the room get them checked in and then I took her in our conference room and pushed her little butt up against the door and I said LIsten You Talk To Me Like that in front of my patients like that one more time and I will proceed to kick your *** to kingdom come and I will personally tell our head M.D. what you did today. She said you wouldn't dare , I said you have got on my last nerve, and I will stomp you right here and now. I walked out smiled front ear to ear and never has she treated me bad again, in fact we are very good friends now.!!

She obviously likes you, but I guess she is playing hard to get. You should treat her the same way she treats you. Period, don't be a little *****. Women are like that, cruel and deceitful. I would avoid her at all costs.

TELL HER HOW SHE ACTS IN FRONT OF YOUR CO-WORKERS. SHE WILL BE REALLY EMBARRESED AND PROABLY APOLOGIZE.
