I doubt it.

His father, a Sicilian born Greek-Arab, was a meteorologist who was hired to manufacture poisonous gases during World War II.

During Zappa's early childhood, his father worked at the Edgewood Arsenal chemical warfare facility at nearby Aberdeen Proving Ground.

Try reading the 'Real Frank Zappa Book' by Frank Zappa and Peter Occhiogrosso. It is a fun and informative read, If my memory serves me well, he talks about his parents when he talks about his childhood.
