i can not hear people and when i push the white button, it does not make that noise it made when it was working, it makes no noise at all. i'm positive thati can not hear people because 1. i played 3 games and could not hear one person talk 2. people sending me voice massages and not being able to hear them 3. i turned it off and turned it back and it did not work, i took the mic out of the controller and put it back in, and i used a different controller and it still did not work.
is it broken?

yes, call up customer support for the 360 to get a new one (for free) if you have the receipt. the number to xbox is 1-800-4my-xbox. if u don't have the receipt, go to gamstop or EBgames for one. there cheap there but... they work.
