No they aren't legal. You can get in trouble if you get caught. Sharing copyrighted materials is a violation of the law, and lawsuits are being filed over the use of Limewire. Sorry, I like it too.

File sharing is not illegal, which is what these programs are, they are programs developed to enable you to share files back and forth.. it's what you are sharing that can be illegal..
