I have a small bag filled with postcards. most are from the forties and fifties. most are used. are they worth anything? should i sell them on ebay? should i group them or sell them all at once? how do i determine an appropriate price?

Yes, the stamps are probably worth more than the postcards, but a lot of postcards from the 40s-50s had a lot of art deco and many were drawn by cartoonists that became famous later on.
These are very popular and valuable today.
Also some of the early ones from casinos in Las Vegas like the Sands and old Mirage that arent around today are very popular and rare.

My advice is to look on ebay see if you see any similar post cards to yours and try to determine market and value selling by group will be faster and less work but you will likely make much less money. There is another option also check your area for one of the stores that does the listing for you they take a percentage if it sells but you dont have to do any scanning and listing you never know you may have one that is valuable.

I have a large collection of 20's and 30s post cards that are not worth much unless you find someone that would be interested in purchasing them.

The stamps on them are probably worth more than the postcards.

Do some research other than here; maybe the library? Or a local antique store? They should have an idea!
