well it depends wut kind of hamster it is.Dwarf hamsters bite a lot. i have a golden hamster and he will not bite at all u can shove ur hand in his mouth and he will yank away. probably the only reason he is biting u is because he is hungry or his teeth is growing to long make sure to buy him or her some special non-toxic wood pieces specially made for hamsters to gnaw on. Also make sure his food bowl is full every single day. best of luck

just handle it everyday, and feed it treats out of you're hand. they are prey animals, so everything bigger frightens them. hamsters just deal with it by biting.

we never got ours to stop biting, now we have gerbils though, and they are A LOT nicer; Never bitten me once! when gerbils get scared they just run under something.

Handle the hamster daily petting it gently. Soon he or she will be very comfortable with you and it won't bite you.

You have to handle it every day, more then once a day, so it is no longer scared of you. They bite because they are scared.
