The date for Christmas is Dec. 25th, every year. It only falls on a Sunday once every 7 years or so, but then with leap years, probably once every 6 years.
I think most people celebrate Christmas on the Sunday closest to the 25th, by attending a Church service and that will be their spiritual time having to do with the holiday. The Christmas morning presents and family meals and gatherings are less about Christ than the Sunday worship services.

That would be bad.... If Christmas should always be during the week so we can get a day off work... Most people already get off on Sunday...

It's not even in the right month, or on the right day. So I wouldn't concern myself with whether or not it fall on a Sunday. We can thank the early Catholic church of the 4th century for that one! They wanted appease the pagans that were among them, who liked the celebration of the Saturnalia, or festival of fertility, which coincidentally fell on December 25th!

That's just the way it is, it's a set date, not a time period.
