Ask my unborn child. LOL. Yes, even with perfect use the pill is only 98-99% effective, and with typical use, it's only about 96%. That's because normal women will skip a pill or two here and there, or not take the pill at the same time, or have a day where they vomit or have diarrhea (which means they can expel the pill before it works its magic), or use antibiotics, and any of those things increase the risk of pregnancy. I guess some women just have storng ovaries, too, and just keep ovulating even with perfect pill use, because 4 women in my immediate family have gotten pregnant on the pill, and we blame it on strong genes. Nothing is 100% effective except abstinence...and of course you can combine condoms and pill for extra safety. But I know a girl who got pregnant on the pill while using a condom AND pulling out.

I did, I was taking yasmin, and I never missed a pill, I always took it at the same time. I was told that the hormones of today are not as strong as they used to be so there is a chance that 2 out of 100 women become pregnant, so Im preparing for a child this sept 11

Yes, some women do not take the pill correctly and that could cause a women to get pregnant also, if someone forgets to take the pill.

Yep. A friend of mine was on Depo-Provera, had been for a long time...was in the middle of shots (still had a month to go before her next shot) and ended up pregnant.
