what does a white flag with a blue square in the corner with a red cross in the middle if thesquare mean?

some said it was a religious flag but someone else put it on my grandmothers flagpole and stole her american flag. whats up with that?!!!!

It suppose to be a Christian flag. Why people did what they did is anybody's guess.
