how do you block internet sites from kids?

Down Load a Parental Control program... Go to Download.com they have a few good ones there...

From one parent to another... using basic windows tricks and not giving your kids credit will be your down fall...

in windows it will only block DNS Suffixes... if you do a ping to the site it will give you ip address put ip address in the address bar parental controls wont do anything but piss you off...

If you are using Internet explorer then I can help you

Internet Explorer 6)

1) On the menu bar click on tools then internet options
2) Click on the Security tab
3) Click on the Restricted sites icon
4) Under the icon it should say Sites on a button, click it
5) Type in the site you want to block then click on add
6) Just try to get through

2) At the bottom click on Internet Options
3) Click on the Security tab
4) Click on the Restricted sites icon

dont block them from sites, blocking sites stops them from pornographic sites and such but it also blocks useful sites. Watch the computer to completely make sure

There are several software packages that allow for this. I think you may be able to adjust Internet Explorer setting as well.

it will block "bad website: from kids automatically, aslo you can add certain website to "always blocked website list"
