It depends on the species. The skin may be smooth and slippery, while in others it is verrucose (=warty), or has longitudinal ridges (as in many frogs).
The skin of toads is keratinized and generally dry, and more or less rugose.

A frog is like kermit the frog, he is soft talks and weird. Toads are small like in mario they have red and white turbans on theirs heads even though he is a mushroom.
