Kill them with kindness.
Most people that you hate/detest don't even know it. And, sadly, most of the things that they did that pissed you off HAVE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU.
And, the same goes for you. There are probably people that you piss off all the time and you don't even know it. You have probably done things that other people found mean or rude and you weren't even aware of it.
We all live in our heads and filter everything that happens to us through our feelings and past experiences.
As Richard Carlson said in his book by the same name, "Don't Sweat The Small Stuff."
Try not to take what other people do personally.

Kill them with kindness. Not only will you be the better person for not doing anything mean spirited, it will drive them crazy wondering what you are up to.
