Koi in Los Angeles. Very trendy, very nice atmosphere if you're going on a date or hanging out with some close friends. I think it's definitely considered a hot spot in los angeles and hey-the sushi is fantastic.

The best traditional sushi is at Sushi Sasabune. You should order the omakase menu, which means you let the chef choose. For me, a real test of quality is whether they use real wasabi root and not the fake green paste, which is basically colored horseradish.

KABUKI is GREAT!!!! Very affordable, fresh and really good sushi...they've got a few locations...i've been to the one in the howard hughes ctr (near LAX/ Westchester) and there's one in Hollywood as well (sunset & vine)...look at some of they're prices...usually cheap sushi = low quality, but their sushi is GREAT....

I am a huge sushi eater and let me tell you ... I have NEVER had a bad meal at Cho Cho San (Thousand Oaks) or Revolving Sushi (Woodland Hills).

Kabuki is a good for affordable and cheap sushi.There are 2 locations that I know of:one off of Sunset and Vine and another in Burbank.Geisha House in Hollywood is good too if you are looking for a trendier atmosphere.
