In Ireland we use both, whichever is most convenient at the time. Although Officially we have changed to Metric starting about 20 years ago bit by bit changing all our measurements. Last year we Adopted the Kilometre but still think in Miles and sometimes give People directions in Miles and then in Kilometre. Some Street Traders still use Pounds and Ounces and some Butchers Shops, but mostly its Kilograms and Grammes. At Home I have an old Fashioned Style Brass and Cast Iron Weighting Scales with Imperial and Metric Weights and I prefer the Metric Weights as I find it easier to Use for Food . I gave up using the Imperial Weights. I still use the Imperial System for Weighting myself I use Stones and Pounds as I am used to them , I dont think in Kilos or just Pounds for weighting myself.

Best to measure in metric now as everything you buy seems to have metric measurements on them these days which makes it hard for me as i only know imperial measurements.

Metric. Once and for all, metric.

The only countries that I know who still use imperial are the UK and the USA. Everyone else in the whole world is metric.

metric, if you in a metric country, but it depends on the country you in, if your in the usa there is no point in measuring up a timber decking for example in metric to find out that the timber planks is sold in imperial, usa is still using imperial, cause they are stubborn, although NASA use metric, because its easier and less errorous

Metric, thats why it changed.

I work in an estate agents so we have to use both but i only use metric, if people want imperial they can convert it themsleves.

But use whatever one you find easier to use.
