At the end of my draft sp looked thin so I ended up grabbing byrd & jeff Weaver. im looking at adding some that I found deep down the list but what one? Homer bailey? Matt Garza? maybe Pelfrey or Kip Wells??? I really like homer but don't know when he'll play. Garza will play just not sure if he'll be any good! Pelfrey probally will not play, but wells should play better! I also have Oliver Perez on the waiver wire.... anyone have any thoughts on these guys??

Garza could be this years Liriano but first the twins have said he must earn his spot or he will start in the minors (I would still pick him up over Weaver or Byrd). How about guys like Boof Bonser, he is starting the season in the Twins rotation and put up respectable numbers last year. Others that may be available, Jeremy Sowers, Jeff Francis, Cliff Lee,Chuck James, Nate Robertson, John Maine. Or if you are lucky Johnathon Broxton is available, he will be the Dodgers closer before the All Star game and you could even use him in the P spot just to get his 1.6 K's per inning and sub 2 era and sub 1 whip. These are great numbers and done without eating up your innings allowed. Joel Zumaya is exactly the same way although in most leagues he gets drafted (but if he didnt then pick him up).All of them will be better options than Weaver and Byrd.

I'd go for the guy who will be starting and that's Wells. Duncan will get him to at least 500. Homer, Garza and Pelfrey may all do good once they get a roster spot but none of them do yet. If you want two I'd take Wells and Pelfrey since they are on great offensive teams.

Any injury to the Reds starting pitching could lead to Homer Bailey debut, which could mean big numbers, even if he pitches at a hitter park. He has good control with his pitches and if you can wait for him he's worth it, as well as Phillip Hughes. Matt Garza could be immediate help to your pitching staff with the loss of Liriano. Although he doesn't have that dominating stuff, he still effective at some point, maybe the best rookie pitcher this season. With Pedro out for a while, Mike Pelfrey could step in at some point this season, so I check him out to see if he still avalible. Adam Miller could be a sleeper pitcher to look out for Cleveland. I don't like the chances for Wells or Perez, as their best days might be over already.

Definately take a chance on Matt Garza because he has great potential and showed it in a few games last year. If you can afford the space also take a chance on Homer Bailey. If he make the rotation he will be a great sleeper.

You won't get Papelbon for Verlander (unless the other owner is clueless, which I doubt). Also, don't pick up Franklin. It was announced today that he was going to lose his closing job. That leaves you with Wilson, Gonzalez, Hanrahan, and Kobayashi. Real tough call. If it were me, I would go with Gonzalez. He's pitched great since coming off the dl; he doesn't have a lot of saves because he hasn't had a lot of opportunities to get them. My second choice would be Kobayashi. Cleveland is playing better of late, and he has good stuff. Good luck.
