I am thinking about getting a toilet aquarium, and wondered if anyone here has seen one in PERSON, I saw it on tv, and online, I just wanted to know if they looked good in person, or had a cheap plasticy look to them!
Thanks, would rather not spend the 300.00 plus shipping and hate the thing!

I have 3 "real" set ups with large angel fish, a black ghost fish, golden do-jo just to name a couple favorites..I know this is gimmicky, and would only put a male and female beta in it along with some real plants and a loach

Thanks to the responders, since no one has seen an actual one I went ahead and ordered it...I am n ot expecting anything glam...it is going in the grandkids bathroom, so if it's a bit cheap looking they wont notice.
And as far as fish looking at a butt, I simply can-not imagine how you get your rear up so high as to be even with your tank! We usually sit on our seats, as we know they are clean!
thanks for the responses

I've only see ones like this online: http://www.fishnflush.com/specs.html

The tank is acrylic, so it would scratch easily. The "fish" section only holds 2.5 gallons, and that's not a lot. Forget what they show in photos & the video - you'd never keep 5 fish alive (especially goldfish) in a tank that small. It's obviously an undergravel filter powered by an airpump, and these do not provide adequate filtration for most fish. I don't see adding a heater or powerhead to a tank this small to use with tropical or saltwater fish, either.

If you want your bathroom to have a "fishy" decor, I recommend you save your money on this "gimmick" and buy a nicely printed shower curtain, toilet seat cover, and a few decals for the walls. Use what you've saved to buy a "real" fish tank. A decent kit (filter, lights, etc. included) plus tank can sell for $100 at WalMart.

I personally think they are about the tackiest thing I've ever seen. Sorry.... I haven't seen one in person, but the pictures make them look like they are very cheaply made. Another thing. The tank is already relatively small for an aquarium. The tank does dual duty for both the aquarium for the fish and the water for the toilet, so you have not only an even smaller area for the fish but the smaller tank size reduces your flushing capacity for the toilet. And what happens to your fish when you have a plumbing problem and the sewer backs up into your aquarium? The more I write, the worse this thing sounds.... For $300, you can get a really nice, "real" aquarium. I say flush the toilet aquarium.

Yeah, that's what I want fishies to look at my butt while I go to the bathroom. I think a 10 gallon tank IN your bathroom will be more classy than having it in your toilet bowl. Those just look cheesy to me.
Owning an aquarium is a decadant hobby.

Nothing says I'm white trash like a aquarium toilet. Get one of these and then all you'll have to do is grow a mullet and you'll be ready to move to the dirt roads of georgia! Why would anybody want to combine the smell of crap with the smell of fish? This idea is lame and stupid and in 2 years people will be selling these on ebay for 5 bucks!
