Get yourself a cup of nickels. Observe the cocktail hostess as she walks through the slot area taking drink orders. Plop down in her path, play a nickel or two as she passes and say "could I have a gin and tonic please" or whatever. She alternates passing out the drinks and taking drink orders. You want to be in her path when she's taking the orders.
