Hobbits often have hairy feet, and do not wear shoes ever. They are related to a troll like person, and tended to be homebodies as part of thier genetics. They are very closed minded, and do not like intrusions on thier world.
Midgets are not mythical, and do not have exeptionally hairy feet. They, like nomal people, have many stages of adventure and exploration in thier personalities. While they may try to spend time with others thier own stature they do not limit themselves to it.
The "hobbits" listed in the articles in the news and such are not hobbits. They were simply given the name "hobbit" due to the recent cultural icons from the lord of the rings movies. Hobbits and many other creatures were inventions of JR Tolkien. The people in that part of the world were simply small by health, genetics, and food on the island.

Midgets are just small statured humans and can be any race.
