My 21 month old son is having the same thing happen. He has 3 of his back teeth coming in at the same time, he ran a fever for 2 days, was very whiny and was playing with his ears alot. He isn't talking yet so he can't tell me what is hurting so I took him to his pediatrician and she said that it is just his teeth coming in and to give him Tylenol and put Orajel on his gums.

Occasionally, when teeth come in, especially molars, there is a bit of pain in the jaw leading up to or even occuring in the ears. More likely, however, is that your daughter has an ear infection -- the ear canal runs down the jawline and the pain can radiate to the jaw, throat, mouth and even sinus cavity. Since I was an infant, I have gotten ear infections at the drop of a hat, and usually, the pain began in my jaw, not my ears. If she does have an ear infection, some infant tylenol or ibuprofin might help (but always check with your pediatrician first) or applying a compress to the jawline might help, too. Try cool first, if that doesnt help try a warm compress. These will only treat the symptoms, though, and it is important to get treatment from a doctor or she could suffer hearing loss.

When the teeth start coming in kids get really congested and their nose runs alot, etc. This can cause ear infections. It's pretty common and if it is an infection it usually doesn't just go away. A lot of kids actually need to get little tubes installed to help their ears drain and prevent infection. Don't let an ear ache go untreated. I had an eardrum burst once due to an inner ear infection and you do not want your child to go through that agony.

Best take her to Dr. make sure it isn't an ear or throat infection. But yes those molars growing in are very uncomfortable for babies. I don't think there is much you can do except to give pain relievers made for babies, it is unfortunately a miserable time and they are always whining.

Be sure first that she doesnt have an ear infection! But, My kids never complained that their ears hurt while theyre teeth were coming in.. I would still try Tylenol/Motrin and maybe some ambesol.

It can be related. Cutting new teeth can inflame the tissue in the upper jaw which is right next to the ear. Children's aspirin might help, but best to consult your pediatrician.

When my wisdom teeth were growing in and becoming impacted I had ear aches. Even my eyes would ache.
