i'm determind my ex will learn something about baby's BEFORE our baby is born...unfortunatly he doesn't seem able to read books or mags that i've got for him because he's too busy on line or down the pub (can just tell he's going to be great can't you? please note the scarcasim). anyway, i thought if i found a web site for young expectant fathers (he's 22, yet seems to be acting 2 lately) on line it might help him be more willing to learn things like what to expect when i'm in labour, and when she's finally arrived!
i realise i can't force him, i'm just fed up of having arguments about whether or not he really needs to know how to change a nappy etc. please help?

Most of the pregnancy websites are terrible and only have a token page for men that focuses on whether they can carry on having sex during pregnancy!!!
I just read one of your other answers about maternity pay where you said you are not entitled to anything because you are self employed...you know you should be able to claim maternity allowance.

Thats a crappy situation. But you never know he may change the further you get along I dont know how far a long you are now but its been my experience that men dont start to really get into until the later months when its a harsher reality. And some step up to the plate of child when they are born and some dont. I think if he isnt respoding to the magazines or the books then he might not check out the website either. Try this book and maybe there is an e-book if he does come around The Father's Almanac: From Pregnancy to Pre-school, Baby Care to Behavior, the Complete and Indispensable Book of Practical Advice and Ideas for Every Man Discovering the Fun and Challenge of Fatherhood. You can buy the hard copy on amazon good luck!

LOL. I went through the same thing. My boyfriend is 22 also and I thought that he would never come around. He had to learn how to change a diaper on his own. We left him with my nephew for about an hour or so and he called me to find out how to change one. He finally did it and when he realized that he was capable of doing it without throwing up, he became a little more excited and relaxed about our baby coming next week, because he knew that he'd be able to do it.
He's also into computers big time, so I sat down with him and we pulled up childbirth videos and info so that way he would know what to expect. He seems to be just as excited as I am now. Good luck and congrats.
