I stayed there this past September. I like the value resorts-the three All-Star resorts and Pop Century, although I like Pop Century the best.

They are all basically the same. There are large statues outside the buildings representing icon from that theme.

I like the price, as these are the least expensive resorts to stay on Disney property. You still get the benefits of Extra Magic Hours, Magical Express, the Disney Transportation system, etc.
Since we pretty much only sleep & shower in our hotel, we are not concerned with the size of the rooms, which some people think are a bit small, but for us it is fine.

The only thing that I don't care for is that they are usually crowded. This means that in the morning, there are a lot of people in the food courts and at the bus stops. (Hey, everyone there is trying to get to the parks, just like you!) As long as you are patient, especially when waiting for a bus, you will be fine. (one night when leaving Magic Kingdom, we had to wait for 3 busses. The line was so long. But they fit a LOT of people on those buses, so the line moves quickly)

I think that of the All-Star resorts, Movies is the best. (Try to get a preferred room- these are a bit closer to the pools, lobby, bus stops. This is important if you have someone that can't walk far.)

Of the All Star resorts, I like the movies the best. It is the newest resort and the cleanest, most updated, etc. Although the music was recently updated and looks pretty nice, haven't stayed since however.

The values are great because you get all the benefits of staying onsite (free shuttle service to and from airport, better transportation than offsite, the option to get dining, etc.) Plus, you will get the great service you expect from Disney, much better than most of the offsite resorts. I've stayed at a few offsite resorts for business and even the higher end resorts don't have as good of service as Disney, in some cases. Also, you can expect the rooms to be clean and kept up, again better than a lot of the offsite, especially the ones that would run the same price as the values. If you were to have a problem, Disney will go above and beyond to make sure that the problem is not only fixed, but that you are completely happy with the situation.

The only downside is that the value resorts can be a little noisy. Since they are the least expensive, they are more popular for families and younger children as well as large groups. If you go during a busy season, or when any group even is going on, it can be very noisy. Also, the rooms are a little on the small side. If you plan to spend most of your time in the parks and just use the room for sleeping, showering, etc. it should be just fine. Finally, the transportation at the All Star resorts can be a little slow, I find that Pop Century has better transportation than the All Stars. But, the transportation is still a lot better than offsite shuttles.

Overall, I think that the value resorts are great, especially for the price. Compared to what you would get offsite, plus all the added benefits of staying onsite, great service, etc. You cannot beat it, a much better alternative to staying offsite.

Hope this helps!

Yes, I have stayed at the All-Star Movies resort. I would recommend this hotel very highly.

There are many good points about the resort. First, the price is pretty competitive with just about any resort in the Orlando area. With the good price comes the outstanding Disney personal service. The transportation is easy to use, the pool is huge, and the food court is good. Each of the wings of the resort are decorated as a different Disney movie, and the rooms match the wings decor.

The drawbacks are really minor. The resort tends to be crowded because of the price and the popularity. There are more families here, so I thought that it was a little loud. It didn't really bother me, as I have kids. The rooms are small, but how much do you stay in the room?

All in all, I have stayed there twice, and my family and I had a blast. if you have the opportunity to stay, by all means. Not only is the price good, but you get the added benefits of staying at a Disney resort.

Have a great trip!!

plusses

huge, if your room is in the back you have to walk a great distance to get to the main area and buses
