Techincally an audio cd can have 99 tracks so there weren't too many tracks. I'm not familiar with bearshare or what burning software you used, but it is possible with some burning softwares that if you tried to cram too much memory onto a cdr, it will crash while trying process and it might have done that while simply preparing the first track for burning. That could explain why there is one track. Look at the surface of the cd and you might see a discoloration that would tell you there's information on it. If there's no difference in opaqueness, there is nothing on there and it could have been a bad cdr , there was a software error/glitch or there was too much memory/time to begin with.

Well, most blank cds can only hold up to 80 minutes and it will tell you when you're burning the cd if the songs won't fit. It could be the type of cd you used, because this happened to me before too. The cd wouldn't play because those types of cds wouldn't work on my cd player. As for how many songs you can usually hold, it just depends. I can usually fit up to 18-20 songs, but no more than that.

I think u forgot to v (accept) mark the tracks u wanted in ur burningprogram - if there are to many tracks it will burn the numbers untill the cd is filled up so not bcs of to many tracs but all the same 20 tracs sounds to many - depending of the minutes in each single track it will be like 15 - 18 tracks ( one cd can store like 70 to 80 minutes of music)

Most CD holds up to 80 minutes, so usually less than 20 songs. What program did you use to burn it?? I highly suggest you burn your audio using Nero. Make sure you use the "audio CD" function to burn, follow their step-by-step instruction, it should work well. Hope this helps.

First you need to look at the CD itself. It should say how many megabytes it it has on it. Or, even easier to understand, how many minutes. Depending on what software you are using, let's say iTunes, as you are adding songs to your playlist, it should tell you how many minutes you have left on the CD as you add each song to the playlist. Once it says that the CD is full, you can burn it.
