You will probably get a lot of "logical" answers to this one. Things like: it was a dream, are you taking drugs, were you drinking, what did you eat etc.

I had a sort of similar experience with two figures that scared the hell out of me. I still can't explain what happened and probably won't be able to.

I think the best option is to take what you can from the experience and believe what you want to believe. If you can't explain it then it will just have to be one of life's mysteries.

It might have been your eyes playing trick on you since you had just woken up. I once woke up and thought i saw a large scorpion climbing my bedroom curtains. When i was younger i woke up and thought a woman dressed in white was standing over my bed. It's usually just your eyes playing tricks and adjusting to the dark.
About you not being able to breathe, i would get it checked out by a doctor just in case.

This has happened to my dad and step-mum at the house they live at. They have both woken up unable to move, speak, and felt short of breath. They said it felt as if someone was sitting on top of them and a psychic thought it there was some kind of spirit doing it! Scary stuff, but there could be a reasonable explanation for this so think rationally!

Dreams can seem very real - this is because our inner brain receives its information from the eyes, ears, etc normally, but during dreams this information is generated in remote parts of the brain instead and the signals tell the inner brain the same story, so it has to think it is real.

Could you have been dreaming? Has anything like this ever happened before? Did your breathing return to normal immediately? I wish I knew more of the story, but if you're sure you weren't dreaming, sounds like it was a ghost.

it was a palatopalogonist . Dont worry it happens all the time I have it happen to me about 4 times per week and it does me no harm.
Use a good household cleaner about three times a week and a cool iron.
A good quality tent with sewn in ground sheet is best I found if travelling in foreign parts.

it happened to me twice.absolutely nothing to worry about.what happened actually is the fact that you only dream,t you woke up.yes i know it,s frightening at the time and it feels like reality but its not.you feel paralysed but you do wake up out of it.its an unexplainable phenomena.

This happened to me a long time ago. I took it as a warning to get my act together.
